The Crescent City Chapter of the Louisiana Council of Chapters of the Military Officers Association of America cordially invites you to the 3rd Tri-Annual Louisiana Council of Chapters (LCOC) Meeting: The Council of Chapters meeting will be held on Saturday 12 October 2013 in Kenner, LA.

The site of the meeting is the Airport Hilton – Garden Inn located in Kenner; near the Ponchartrain Center and the Treasure Chest Casino. (Not to be confused with Airport Hilton across from New Orleans Airport).

12 Rooms have been set aside. For reservations and the special rate of $109.00 plus tax per night, please call 504-712-0504. Ask for promotion code Military Officers Association of America.

We believe there should not be a problem and have tested the reservations, but if you have an issue, our point of contact is Ms. Pat Leblanc.

EVENTS INCLUDE: On Friday, October 11 at 6PM we intend to have a no host dinner (casual) at the Treasure Chest Casino very close by to the Hotel.

The casino has a Treasure Island Seafood buffet. Listed price is $25.99

COUNCIL MEETING: LCOC Meeting will be in the Hilton Garden Inn, in Room ‘Laketown A’, beginning at 9AM. Meeting agenda will be mailed separately.

SPOUSE AND MEMBER ACTIVITY: MOAA COUNCIL OF CHAPTERS LADIES ACTIVITIES FOR OCTOBER 12, 2013

*We have a fun day of activities planned.

*The ladies will meet in the lobby of the hotel for 9:15 AM. We will carpool for the day’s activities. All activities are pay as you go.

*We will tour the Sydney and Walda Bestoff Sculpture Garden for 10 o’clock. — Free admission
*At 11 o’clock we will tour the New Orleans Museum of Art —-$8 admission.
*At 12:30 we will have lunch at Ralph Brennan’s Cafe Noma in the Museum. Lunch will be separate checks.– $10-$15 average price.

*After lunch, if weather permits, we can tour the Botanical Gardens at City Park, (six dollars admission), near the museum or shopping is available at Lakeside Shopping Center at Causeway Boulevard or The Esplanade on West Esplanade Avenue near the hotel.

*Please let us know who will be joining us, so we can have enough cars to accommodate everyone. All of these venues are handicap accessible. Should you have questions, call Linda Robbins at 504 296-9285.

*CHAPTER DINNER: Crescent City Chapter will host dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel, Laketown Rooms A and B. Social time begins at 6PM with dinner at 7PM.

*Lt. Colonel Jerry Sneed, City of New Orleans Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Director for the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will be our guest speaker at dinner.

DIRECTIONS to Hilton Garden Inn: From I-10 (heading East from Baton Rouge into New Orleans) take Williams Blvd exit. Head toward Lake Ponchartrain up Williams. Hotel is at the end of Williams Blvd. Turn left before you cross levee.

COUNCIL ATTENDEES LUNCH: (Saturday noon) Attendees on their own.
